RFU Community Game Update: 21 June 2017.
The five global law trials that were introduced into the southern hemisphere on January 1st 2017 are set to be rolled out into the northern hemisphere from the start of the new season on August 1st.
In addition to the already scheduled roll out of the global law trials there have been some additional closed law trials taking place in June at both the Junior World Cup U/20 competition in Georgia and the Nations Cup in Uruguay.
The World Rugby Law Review Group will review the results of these closed law trials in June on the completion of the two tournaments. The game will then be informed of any more potential law changes that result from this review ahead of the new season, with resources including video clips available to assist clubs in adapting to the new rules of play.
CBs and Council will be informed of any such new law changes ahead of communication to the wider game in mid-July.
