International Ticket Allocations Update.
You will have seen in our March Community Game Update upcoming changes to international ticket allocations, which require community clubs’ action for the end of the season. Here is a summary of the new allocation process and the actions required to take to ensure each club receives the correct allocation.
In future, international ticket allocations to community clubs will be based primarily on the number of 15-a-side matches played by their teams, with the first allocations based on matches played in 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. The number of matches a club will be assigned for each season will be those that have been registered on the club’s GMS Team Management Tile.
• Allocations to community clubs will now be based primarily on the number of 15-a-side matches their teams play. All 15-a-side matches (U14s to adult, both male and female) count towards a club’s overall total.
• All matches must be recorded on the club’s GMS Team Management module in order for the RFU to calculate the correct ticket allocation.
• The new allocation that a club will receive will be based on the cumulative number of matches played across the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.
• The ticket allocation will be reviewed and updated every two seasons moving forward.
The deadline for entering all 2018-2019 matches is Friday 17 May 2019. Using the 2018-19 data, the RFU will forecast and share the indicative number of international tickets community clubs and geographic Constituent Bodies (CBs) can expect to receive. The actual allocations will be finalised once the results from the 2019-20 season have been collected.
Apart from determining ticket allocations, inputting your club’s matches will provide the RFU with a clear view of the health of the game and inform a review of the 2018-19 season. If there are significant gaps in your GMS matches and teams data, please contact your RDO to provide a more accurate update.
