Children are the lifeblood of the game and it is crucial that they are cared for in the correct manner
Member Clubs Chinnor RFC, Didcot RUFC, Gosford All Blacks RFC, Henley Hawks, Oxford Harlequins RFC, Wallingford RFC (3 events) and Witney RFC (2 events) have hosted the Play It Safe courses for their volunteers and welcomed several members of neighbouring clubs.
RFU Rugby Development Officer Dave Larham is the Safeguarding Tutor for Oxfordshire and said, "It's important that we continue to support coaches, team managers and first aiders with safeguarding training to increase their awareness, understanding and gain models of good practice. I'd like to thanks every club and participant for supporting the events and for their on-going commitment to rugby in Oxfordshire."
