Paid coaching opportunites on the RFU All Schools Programme.
Part Time Level 2 Coaches Required
Introduction
The All Schools programme is hands-on coaching support deployed in schools designed to form a major part in the foundation of sustainable rugby playing school after 3 years. The school will need high quality, engaging and appropriately-skilled coaches to enthuse new players from challenging backgrounds to want to play the game and create willingness for staff to get involved in growing the rugby programme, In order to support the RDO to deploy this good level of appropriate coaches to the programme.
Qualities and Qualifications
• RFU Level 2 coaching qualification (Preferable UKCC Rugby Union Level 2) – this is now an entry point which eases things
• RFU Coach Licence Holder – 5 minute online process on https://gms.rfu.com/coachlicensing/
• RFU-issued DBS Enhanced Disclosure
• Registered on GMS with RFU ID Number
• Attended RFU Coaching in Schools Induction
Social Impact
Coaches will be working with groups from challenging circumstances and therefore should be able to recognise and deal with this. The All Schools programme is designed improve the social and behavioural fabric of the school and their students so these are qualities we are looking for alongside you rugby coaching skills.
Through the induction seminar (run by RFU Area Training Managers) coaches working on the programme will gain an understanding about developing confident, capable young people through rugby union, working in curriculum time and what the aims and outcomes of our work in schools are.
