Community Game Update: July 2018.
There is a unique opening for a Women and Girls Council Member at the RFU, following Deborah Griffin’s appointment as a representative to the World Rugby Council.
The Women and Girls Council Member is appointed by the Council for a term of up to three years and the person appointed will provide insight into the women and girls’ game both at Council meetings and in collaboration with the professional staff.
They will have oversight of the inclusion, development and management of the women and girls game through the Strategic plan, Women and Girls Action Plan and the annual business plan. They will also collaborate with Council, RFU Committees and Constituent Bodies to ensure the growth and governance of the women and girls game, offering insight, advice and raising any concerns.
Attending representative games and acting as an RFU ambassador within both the women and girls and wider game they will also be a member of the Women’s Performance Management Group which oversees the Women’s Development to Performance Pathway at England level and the top level of the women’s domestic structure.
