CUP CHAMPION PROGRAMME LAUNCHED:
The Oxfordshire Cup Champion initiative was lanuched at Gosford All Blacks on January 30th 2013. Over 70 club volunteers turned out to hear Debbie Jevans the CEO of England 2015 and Steve Grainger RFU Rugby Development Director set the scene for the Oxfordshire Cup Champion programme.
The Oxfordshire Cup Champion Programme has the simple aim of making the 2015 Rugby World Cup which is to be hosted in England, the catalyst that makes Oxfordshire rugby clubs places where more people want to spend more time before, during and after the Tournament.
Oxfordshire County Executive are looking for clubs that want to be part of the programme; to put together a small team of three or four people - Cup Champions. These people will work with Oxfordshire RFU and the RFU to develop and implement plans that will be capable of creating thriving sporting centres which meet the changing expectations of current and potential players, supporters and volunteers.
