A great format of rugby for club members.
Walking Rugby is intended to be a simple version of rugby, suitable for ex-players and non-players of all ages, abilities and gender who enjoy an active passing game using a rugby ball.
The RFU worked with grassroots clubs to develop a set of guidelines for those wishing to play walking rugby which puts the fundamentals in place to ensure a high quality of experience.
Clubs across the country are starting to look at walking rugby as a way to re-engage with past players, to keep existing players in the game for longer, to recruit new members, and to offer a format of the game to those players who may be rehabilitating from injury.
There are two guidance videos, the first looks at the rules of play, and the second is to promote walking rugby to new recruits.
