Gosford All Blacks
MESSAGE FROM LONDON WELSH
As you know it has been a challenging one on the pitch for us, but in the community it goes from strength to strength, and we will be presenting our final Coach Education of the season next Wednesday 15th April at Gosford All Blacks RFC.
The session is free to attend and will get underway at 7.15pm and run until 8.30pm, and will be a mix of both indoor and outdoor coaching. No matter your level, senior or moving into 15 a side next year, we guarantee you will get a gem or two of an idea to help your coaching.
Head coach Rowland Phillips will give an insight into the level of game planning involved in preparing a team for an Aviva Premiership match, covering aspects of analysis, player profiling, weekly schedule and the coaching for the individual player, units and team.
This will be complimented with the final on the field coaching session with London Welsh team captain Tom May presenting on counter attacking and the policies teams can use.
The feedback has been very positive from the sessions with many of Oxfordshire’s rugby clubs and schools, and coaches of the 13 and 15-a-side game.
Graham McDonough of Abingdon RFC Juniors said: “Having the ability to discuss and learn new coaching drills and skills from professional coaches and players is a fantastic opportunity for all local Oxfordshire clubs.
“I came away with some great ideas and tips from Gordon and Ollie at Wallingford RFC that I’ll be putting in to practice with the Abingdon Under 11s over the next few weeks. Thanks again to the London Welsh community team.”
If you wish to register for this last session please do by replying to Adam Copperwheat at community@london-welsh.co.uk

Kind regards
